In this role in Burundi, Bathermy is responsible for the organization’s business and operation, including the strategic and local innovative financing of Water, Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH) all over the country and above.
Indeed, Bathermy strategy is built on the integration of business aspects into the agency’s long history and distinct expertise in WASH solutions in Africa to make it sustaining and responsive to demand across the country of Burundi. Bathermy has led the strengthening of international relationship by the signature of the Headquarters Agreement between WSA and the Government of Burundi;
Before joining WSA Burundi in October 2013, Bathermy was successively served as International Consultant in WASH with IUCN, WWF, ADB, VSO, SNV, 2iE, FAN, and International Consultant, then Country Director of CREPA (now WSA) in the Republic of Chad;
Since 2000, I am Founder and National Coordinator of ACEEN (Cameroonian Association for Environmental Education) and then from 2004 up to date, Founder and CEO of WESDE (Water Energy and Sanitation for Development);
For two consecutive mandate 2003-2006 and 2006-2009, I also serve a Board Member at ANEW (African Civil Society Network on Water and Sanitation);
Since 2015, I am International Consultant as Community Manager for Social Medias at www.horyou.com and since 2017, Advisor at GCU (Global Coordination Unit) at CSAYN (Climate Smart Agriculture Network);
